Maintaining design system consistency across custom business platforms
Establishing clear design tokens, modular component patterns, and typography rules prevents visual debt as enterprise applications grow.

Consistency comes from shared decisions
A design system is more than a component gallery. It records typography, color, spacing, interaction states, accessibility behavior, and the rules that explain when a pattern should be used.
Tokens create a stable language between design and engineering, while composable components prevent every feature team from solving the same interface problem differently.
Govern change without blocking delivery
New variants should respond to a real product need and include responsive, keyboard, validation, loading, empty, and error states. Review is faster when teams can demonstrate the missing capability instead of adding one-off styles.
Regular usage audits help retire duplicate patterns and reveal accessibility or visual regressions before they spread across multiple products.
